Editorial Standards

Effective: October 29, 2026
Stadium Wire exists to give fans fast, accurate and well-sourced sports coverage. These standards apply to everything we publish.
01. Accuracy and sourcing
Every story rests on at least three independent sources, at least one of them official: a league, team or federation page, an official box score or injury report, a press release or an on-the-record statement. Scores, statistics, records, dates and times are checked against those sources before a story goes live, and a number we cannot verify is left out. When we rely on another outlet’s reporting, we name the outlet and link to it, and a report that a team or league has not confirmed is labeled as that outlet’s report.
Quotations appear only when they are in a source we name. We never invent quotes, sources or experience.
02. How we use AI
Stadium Wire stories are researched and drafted with AI tools and published under the byline “Stadium Wire Desk”. Each draft then goes through an automated fact-check that re-reads every cited source and compares each score, statistic, date and quote with it, and a structure and style check. A story that fails either check is not published. We do not use AI to fabricate reporting, quotes, images or experience, and we do not claim that a human reporter attended a game.
03. Original work
We write our own stories. We do not copy or lightly reword other outlets’ articles, and we do not republish exclusives as our own.
04. Photos and trademarks
We use only public-domain photos or photos released under licences that allow reuse, with a visible credit. We do not use broadcast footage, agency or league photography, or team and league logos, and we do not present Stadium Wire as an official site of any league or team.
05. Privacy of athletes
We report injuries only from official team or league reports or a statement by the team or the athlete. We do not publish private medical information, and we do not cover the private lives of minors or youth athletes.
06. Betting
We do not publish betting odds, lines, picks or sportsbook promotions.
07. Corrections
When we get something wrong, we fix it and say so. The correction is noted at the bottom of the story with its date. To report an error, use the Contact page and name the story and the source that shows the correct fact.
08. Independence
Advertisers have no influence over our coverage, and sponsored content is always labeled.
